Free OBS alerts for gifts and followers: step-by-step guide

Showing on-screen alerts when a gift or a new follower comes in brings a stream to life, but most alert services charge a subscription or limit designs in their free tier. TikLive TTS includes free OBS overlays, with no limits and no watermark, served locally.

What overlays are included

• Gift alerts: animation and sound when someone sends a gift on TikTok Live, Twitch or YouTube.
• Like counter: real-time total during the stream.
• Follower counter: goes up automatically as you gain followers on stream.

How to add them to OBS

1. Open TikLive TTS and connect your stream (TikTok, Twitch or YouTube).
2. Copy the local URL of the overlay you want (for example localhost:3000).
3. In OBS, add a Browser Source and paste the URL.
4. Adjust the size and position of the overlay in your scene.
5. Optional: upload your own backgrounds or images to customize the alert without leaving the app.

Why they're free and local

Because they run locally (not on an external server), the overlays don't depend on a third-party service being up and have no monthly usage caps. The whole project is open source, so there's no fine print and no features unlocked by paying.
